Announcing the YP/PRSA-LA 2012-2013 Young Professionals Mentor Program!
This Program Offers Mentoring to Students and Young Professionals In an Effort to Open Doors to Opportunity
What: The YP/PRSA-LA Mentor Program presents an opportunity for college students and those interested in entering the world of public relations to pair up with a young professional with shared interest or involvement in a particular area of concentration, whether it’s entertainment, healthcare, technology, consumer, public policy, education, etc.
Historically, mentor programs have delivered proven results. During the course of YP/PRSA-LA’s two-month mentor program, mentors and mentees will have one breakfast or lunch meeting, and if possible, spend time “shadowing” a PR workday. Pairings will maintain constant contact via e-mail or phone.
The YP/PRSA-LA Mentor Program will begin November 12 and continue through January 31. Mentors and mentees will be formally introduced to one another at YP/PRSA-LA’s Mixer on November 14.
Why: The YP/PRSA-LA Mentor Program is your chance to get better acquainted with the PR industry, including the opportunity to network, hone interests and talents and get your questions answered.
