First Event of the Year Tonight!

Tonight’s the night! We have a great panel of speakers lined up to give insight into how you, as a young professional, can stand out.  Here’s some information on two of our generous hosts from Hill & Knowlton, who are also two of our panelists:

Phyllis Tucker

A former public affairs in-house PR professional, turned 15-year agency veteran, nobody knows corporate media relations better than Phyllis herself.  During her time doing in-house work, she grew tired of the internal communication struggles a company faces but after the move to Hill & Knowlton, she hasn’t had a roving eye since.  She oversees the corporate practice, focusing in on public affairs campaigns.  Our own Jessica Barraco worked alongside Phyllis on the promotion of the 2008 Grand Avenue Festival in Downtown LA and cited her calmness in any type of crisis situation.  Currently, Phyllis manages several clients she will discuss with you, one of which being Dart Corporation. Phyllis is a Michigan-native, and is happily settled down in LA with her husband and two sons.

Michael Ehrlich

As a USC graduate, Michael’s true passion is sports—in and out of the office.  He gets up early every morning to write on his sports blog, before heading to work where he has handled the Adidas account the past two years. Traveling for Adidas’ 7-on-7 high school football tournaments and pitching to sports blogs are two of his favorite activities as a sports marketer.  Michael got his start interning for the Lakers while in college, and previous to Hill & Knowlton, he was formerly at Bragman Nyman Cafarelli working on the Bacardi account.  A Pebble Beach, California-native, Michael has stayed in southern California ever since college.

Check out our Facebook event page and RSVP.  Cost is $10 for PRSA and PRSSA members; $15 for non members.  Pay at the door.  Hope to see you tonight!  For those of you who can’t make it, we will be live-tweeting the event under the hashtag #PRSAYPEvent
